Hi! Welcome to my blog. I've never done this before, so I hope you enjoy it! It seems like an efficient way to communicate with everyone. However, I will have "limited access to internet" during my 27 months of Peace Corps service in Guatemala.
I'm in my final stages of preparation to leave Grapevine, Texas on April 27. I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with family and close friends. I am so excited and thankful for everyone who is coming to visit this weekend! I will spend one day in Atlanta for "staging" with other Peace Corps volunteers. On April 28 we will fly to Guatemala City where we will begin pre-service training, which consists of technical, cross-cultural, language, medical, safety and security components. During this three month training period I will be residing with a host family.

Please do not bother sending large care packages- I most likely will not receive them. Experience has shown that small padded envelopes and standard letters are most likely to arrive intact. I should be able to provide an update with a new address in July.
